Ilan Goldfajn is Chairman of the Advisory Board at Credit Suisse, Brazil. He was chairman of Brazil’s central bank from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, he was selected Central Banker of the Year by The Banker magazine. Previously, he was chief economist of Itaú Unibanco, founding partner of Ciano Investimentos, and partner at Gávea Investimentos. He has also been a professor at Pontifical Catholic University and Brandeis University. Throughout his career, he has published numerous articles and books. He has also been a consultant to international organizations, international and Brazilian banks, and the Brazilian government.
