Doron Avni

Doron Avni is Google’s Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy for the Emerging Markets region (more than a 100 countries including Latin America, Africa, Middle East, Turkey and Russia). For more than 12 years, he has been developing Google’s policy strategies and campaigns on cutting edge technology issues, engaging with governments and advocating for the empowering, open and enabling nature of the internet. Doron is particularly passionate about digital transformation as a driver for inclusive economic growth in emerging markets, and has been leading the thinking in that space. He is also a member of Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy global senior leadership team. Prior to joining Google he served as the Legal Counsel of the Israeli broadcast media regulator, and as an associate at a leading Jerusalem law firm. He holds an MJur from Oxford University, specialising in European and Competition Law, and a MPA from Harvard Kennedy School
