Gustavo Beliz is an Argentinian politician and expert in global governance. As Secretary of Strategic Affairs, he is a cabinet minister and is responsible for designing and implementing the foreign relations strategy for the Office of the President, working in partnership with Argentina's other ministries. He leads the countries efforts with multilateral organizations. He served during the presidency of Carlos Menem as Minister of Interior between 1992 and 1994 and as Minister of Justice during the presidency of Néstor Kirchner between 2003 and 2004.
Beliz is a graduate of the School of Law at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (1989) and pursued postgraduate studies at the London School of Economics (1994) after winning a British Council scholarship to research globalization and state reform.
