Michelle Fleury is the BBC's New York Business Correspondent and one of the leading reporters in North America for BBC World News. She's covered American business and economics for more than 10 years, working on all of the major stories of the era, including the global financial crisis: the financial collapses of Lehman Brothers and AIG, the jobless recovery and monetary policy.
She regularly reports live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange on financial markets and has extensive experience covering the Federal Reserve, the IMF and World Bank and G20 meetings. Before moving to New York, Michelle worked as a producer at the BBC's headquarters in London.
She worked on the award winning finance programme, Working Lunch, as well as the BBC's UK and global business output, reaching audiences in over 200 countries. Born in the UK, Michelle graduated from Warwick University. She lives in Brooklyn.
