Dr Tara Lindstedt is Managing Director of EP Global Energy Ltd (www.epge.com), a private Developer of Transformational Renewable Energy Assets, committed to sustainable development in Frontier Markets of Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Tara’s current focus is EP Global Energy’s DREAM Platform. DREAM stands for “Developing Renewable Energy in Africa & Middle east”, a platform based on technology and innovation alliances, to deliver transformational projects. DREAM’s strategic premise is to fast track access to affordable electricity, and deliver reliable and cost effective base-load from renewable sources.
Tara has over 25 years of professional experience in Europe, USA, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. She has delivered nearly 300 MW of renewable projects into commercial operation and leads development of EP Global Energy’s pipeline of around 2000 MW. Prior to her role at EP Global Energy, Tara was an investment banker with Salomon Brothers (now part of Citigroup) and Goldman Sachs, and, a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PWC), and was a founding member of the Angels Program and Appointee Director at Imperial Innovations, Imperial College.
Tara holds a BSC (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from University College London, an MSc in Advanced Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London, a Diploma of Imperial College (D.I.C.), and a PhD in Fluid Mechanics also from Imperial College.
Tara is a British citizen of Iranian decent, and lives in London with her husband Professor Peter Lindstedt of Imperial College, and their daughter Samira.
